It was a whirlwind weekend, as we picked up our German exchange student at the airport and treated him to an All-American dinner of hamburgers and fries (with a trip to the County Fair, as well!). So on Sunday morning, I woke up to the beautiful (and long awaited) sound of rain on the roof and went to baking. It took just a few short minutes to whisk together the ingredients and pat out the dough. And along with a hot pot of coffee, dollop of peach preserves and few slices of bacon, these made for a quaint little breakfast. Very easy, very tasty and of course, very comforting.
Many thanks to Jennifer of Cooking for Comfort for serving as this week’s hostess. Look for this quick & easy recipe on her website and to see who else participated, check out the ‘Leave-Your-Link’ post on the TWD site!
