Tuesdays With Dorie – Flip-Over Plum Cake

Flip-Over Plum Cake

Hosting a weeknight dinner and short on time? Then I’ve got the dessert for you… it’s quick and easy, yet absolutely delicious. A cake that’s perfect for this transition into Fall that your guests will love!

The only step that was labor-intensive was cutting up the plums, and really, that’s not hard at all. It takes just a few minutes to prepare the batter, while the plums marinate in the sugar mixture and their own juices. Then, once the butter’s melted, it’s into the oven. Less than an hour later, you’ve got a treat that’s warm, spicy and sweet… just what I love! 🙂

I think this would be a nice dessert to serve to guests after a homestyle meal. I wasn’t sure what to think of this cake at first but I really liked it in the end,
