Sweet Melissa Sundays – Chocolate Chip Almond Granola

by Jessica on August 15, 2010

Chocolate Chip Almond Granola

I’ve had an obsession with chocolate chip granola for the last month. Every morning for breakfast, with the exception of a few days, I’ve added in 1/4 cup into my yogurt. It was never really something I liked until I found a few flavors at Market Street made by Feed. So it was obviously fate when I ran out of the stuff this past Friday morning – now it’s on to making my own batches of granola!

To the SMS’ers: you’ve probably noticed that I changed the title and left out the cherries and other fruits. I’ve gotta have my chocolate! 🙂

Major thanks to Wendy of Pink Stripes who has this wonderful recipe on her blog – check it out and the other SMS bakers here!

I love the chocolate chips in this one. Reading everyone’s reviews of this one, I will have to do this one as a rewind.

As a granola noob… did you add the choc chips before or after baking? It looks awesome!

Delicious changes! You made your own granola with the chocolate chips from what you have come to love along the way. Great adapting and I love your pictures =).

I’ve been wanting to make granola for the last year. I think this will finally make me do it.

I love it!! I’m not a big granola fan Jessica, but you add chocolate to it and I’m guaranteed to enjoy it at least 50% more 🙂

Chocolate granola?!? I wish I thought of that! I still haven’t made this one, though I bought everything to make it. Change of plans…I’m making mine chocolate, too!

How much chocolate did you use?

17 Jessica October 1, 2012 at 4:43 pm

Hi Emily! If I remember correctly, I used 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips. This is a perfect Autumn recipe, so I’ll be making it again very soon! If ingredients change, I’ll let you know! 🙂
