For C, who wanted this cake from the first moment she laid eyes on my ‘Baking‘ book.
Ecstatic is the word I’d use for the moment I found out we were making the cake on the cover of Dorie’s book. I’ve always admired this cake and wondered what it would taste like. Fortunately, it tasted lovely. It’s definitely not as gorgeous as Dorie’s, but hey… it’s the taste that counts, right?? I even took the pictures in my new DIY lightbox. Pretty, huh??

Chosen by Stephanie of Confessions of a City Eater, I give you Dorie’s Devils Food White Out Cake…
