Oatmeal Scotchies

Happy Halloween, my lovely readers!! 🙂 Welcome to the latest WC recipe exchange – Fall Favorites! I received this yummy recipe for Oatmeal Scotchies, straight from the Nestle bag! And as a treat for today’s get-together at work, I made these for all my co-workers… who absolutely loved them! This is definitely a recipe I’m keeping for the future. Thanks to whomever submitted it – they were delicious!!

Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats and morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes for chewy cookies or 9 to 10 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

I just made these and they’re great! I did use my 2T cookie scoop and because my cookies are larger than specified by the recipe I ended up with my edges getting a little too crisp for my liking by the time the middles were cooked properly. Next time I’ll just turn the oven temp down a bit to compensate because I’m not giving up on my big cookies 😉 Thanks for sharing a great recipe!
