Tuesdays With Dorie – Summer Fruit Galette

Ah… nothing like waiting until the last minute. And when I say last minute, I mean last minute… 11:30p to be exact. 🙂 It was SO yummy, though. I used only plums (after I found that my nectarines had rotted – boo) with a little peach jelly. At first, I thought the combination would be weird, but it was actually very good! Verdict: I can’t wait to make another one of these!!

This fabulous galette was chosen by Michelle of Michelle in Colorado Springs, so head on over to check out the recipe. Then click over to TWD to see all the other beautiful galettes! Simple, huh?

As always, it looks great, J!! I love the idea of plums and peach jelly! And look at you with your expensive, hard to find Fiestaware!! 😉

Absolutely gorgeous… 🙂

Peach jelly sounds delicious. Too bad about the nectarines. I find that store-bought peaches and nectarines rot before they ripen, so I try to get them at farmers markets. I don’t know if that was the situation in your case, but I thought I’d throw that in.

Boo for rotten nectarines, but congrats on a stunning galette. Last minute isn’t always bad!

Your galette crust looks perfect. Sorry about the rotten fruit. The texture on your bundt cake looks so gorgeous.
