Ranger Cookies

by Jessica on May 7, 2008

This round’s theme was “family recipes”… those that have been passed down from generation to generation. For my draw, I received ‘Ranger Cookies’. And apparently, the recipe originally came from an old cookbook (whose title shall remain nameless). 🙂

Tasty Ranger Cookies!!

1/2 c butter
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 c oats
1 c Grapenuts, Wheaties, or Total cereal
1/2 c shredded coconut (I omitted, since shredded coconut is yucky) 🙂

Heat oven to 375. Blend first 9 ingredients. Stir in oats, cereal and coconut. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.
