Elise's Sesame Noodles, Hornedfroggy-style

by Jessica on February 26, 2008

I saw these this afternoon in a post from the WC board (thank you Liz&Eric!!) and immediately started to crave them. Since I didn’t have a clue about what I’d make for dinner, I quickly decided that this was going to be it. 🙂 After arriving home from work and doing a few chores, I noticed that I didn’t exactly have every ingredient that was called for in the post. 🙁 So… I improvised. I give you Elise’s Sesame Noodles, Hornedfroggy-style. 🙂

Elise’s Sesame Noodles, Hornedfroggy-style
Source: Adapted from EatingWell.com

1 lb. linguine
1/2 c reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp lime juice
1/2 bag (8 oz.) frozen carrot/pea mix
1/2 c toasted sesame seeds

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook linguine until just tender, about 9-11 minutes. Drain, then rinse under cold water and return noodles to pot. Add carrot/pea mix to noodles. Whisk soy sauce, canola oil & lime juice in a medium bowl. Add mixture to noodles & carrot/pea mix, then toss to coat. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, then serve.

Sesame Noodle goodness!

Fast and easy, I say. Yummy, too. 🙂
